Travelling by Car
The CRC has ten parking spaces for patients and study participants, located directly in front of the CRC building.
Parking here is free and you may be able to reserve a space by calling our receptionist on 01382 632287 with details of your appointment date and time.
Priority will be given to patients with disabilities or mobility problems. Please note that parking charges will apply in all of the other hospital car parks.
Directions from East Gate
From the roundabout on Ninewells Avenue, turn into Ninewells Drive and take the second left into James Arrott Drive. The CRC is the bronze coloured building on the left. Turn left into the car park entrance, stop at the barrier and press the intercom button. Our receptionist will activate the barrier and let you know which space you have been allocated. On leaving the car park, the exit barrier will lift automatically.
Directions from West Gate
From the west gate on Charleston Drive, turn right into James Arrott Drive and then left at the mini roundabout. Proceed along James Arrott Drive until you reach the pedestrian crossing directly outside the CRC. Immediately after this you will see the exit barrier from the car park on the right. DO NOT ENTER HERE, but proceed another 50 metres and then turn right to enter the car park, stop at the barrier and press the intercom button. Our receptionist will activate the barrier and let you know which space you have been allocated. On leaving the car park, the exist barrier will lift automatically.
Multi Storey Car Park (No. 8)
You can also use the multi storey car park (Car Park. 8) which is located on Ninewells Drive. To get to the CRC from this car park, there is a flight of steps (around 20 steps) on the left when you come out of the car park which leads down between the car park and the Tayside Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Technology (TORT) centre. Proceed with care down the steps and then go through the blue gate. Turn right and proceed to the pedestrian crossing, where you can cross the road to the CRC. Please take care. Please note that before you return to your car, you must purchase a ticket -cost £1.70 - from the machine on the ground floor of the car park stairwell. You will need to present this ticket at the exit barrier on leaving.
If you park in any of the other hospital car parks, please DO NOT go to the main hospital entrance. Instead you should make your way, by the footpath, to the multi storey car park/TORT Centre and follow the directions from there as described in the above paragraph.
Please note that you may also use the courtesy mini bus from the main hospital entrance (Car Park 9) or the TORT Centre/Car Park 8. Please ask the driver to stop at the CRC. This service runs approximately every 15 minutes between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm. Please allow yourself plenty of time (we recommend up to 30 minutes) if you intend to use this service.
