NHS Tayside virtual appointments success

Over 1500 virtual and telephone healthcare appointments have been carried out across Tayside during the COVID-19 outbreak using the video link service 'Near Me'.  The technology has been designed specifically for the healthcare sector and allows clinicians to consult with their patients remotely.  Patients use their own digital device to enter an online waiting area for their booked appointment.
