Clinical Research Centre (CRC) Highlights

We have several CRC highlights to report, commencing with overwhelmingly positive feedback from the Chief Investigator of a National Multicentre study, who commented on the “hugely impressive facilities, dedicated professionalism of staff, warmth of welcome and our roles in national leadership”. In addition, we can share our positive experiences, which include in separate studies being first centre to recruit in the UK, first centre to screen in Scotland, top recruitment site and 7^th of 146 highest recruiting sites, so we are delighted with these achievements and will continue to aspire to the highest levels of delivery of cutting edge research. Indeed, we have had eight site initiation visits over the last month and several other early approaches for new studies.  We are also delighted with the appointment of our CRC doctor in October 2016. She has settled in very well and integrates with a wide range of investigators. She is assisting with clinical trial delivery through medical input, with very positive feedback to date and we anticipate that she will play a key role in the continuing highlights and achievements of the CRC. Furthermore, we are delighted that one of our Senior Clinical Research Nurses has just been successfully awarded a PhD.
