SISCC Work Programme 2018/19 - call for new proposals

9th January, 2018

The Scottish Improvement Science Collaborating Centre (SISCC) is launching a call for research proposals to help shape the 2018/19 work programme.  The aim of this call is to bring together practitioners and academics to work on ideas, challenges and improvement aims, to develop research questions, evaluation methodologies, use of data to support improvement or opportunities to pilot work to build on the current evidence-base and support improvement activities across health and social care.

The maximum SISCC core funding available for new proposals is £35,000 and work should begin within three months of the funding award (end April 2018) and be completed within a 12 month period.

There are 2 routes to submit proposals:

An Outline Proposal (400 words) that summarises the idea/challenge should be submitted no later than 26th January 2018.  All Outline Proposals will be supported by SISCC to be developed into a Research Proposal.

The SISCC Research Proposal form should be submitted no later than 28th February 2018.

Both forms and more detail about the process can be accessed at:

All proposals will be considered and prioritised by the SISCC Executive Group before the end of April 2018 – using our prioritisation criteria

If you have any questions about this process or would like to discuss potential proposals, please contact Julie Anderson or Dr Nicola Gray.
