The Scottish Innovative Student Awards Programme - now open!

11th September, 2017

SIE contacted academics in the summer to let them know about the new Scottish Innovative Student Awards programme which was being developed from the SMART project pilot. The programme is now being launched and the student workshops are open for registrations. Space is limited, so early student registration is encouraged.

20 September 2017 - Dundee

By partipating in the new Scottish Innovative Student Awards programme students will benefit from a rich source of inspiration and supporting information to help them find an idea for their coursework and at the same time, make a different to the big issues facing Scotland. Feedback from the pilot programme steering groups has been very positive and this could be a great opportunity for students.

The programme is open to any student who would like to work on a project relevant to the theme: "Innovation and the home." There are three levels to the programme, Bronze (Inspiration), Silver (Discovery), and Gold (Realisation), and by participating in each phase, students can achieve different levels of the award. Bronze level completion is through attending an inspiration workshop run by SIE or by a workshop run by an academic in their institution using the workshop materials . Should you wish to do this for your own students, SIE will supply content for you. (Please contact Ann Davidson). Content will be added to the ideas and inspiration hub on the SIE website specifically to support this year's topic.

Further information on the programme for students and academics, including key dates can be found at:
