TayPEOLC MCN - Living and Dying with Dementia

Friday 23rd March 2018

This event is part of a quality improvement project aiming to improve identification and co-ordination of palliative and end of life care for those who are living with or dying with a diagnosis of dementia.

The project is a partnership between Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership, Healthcare Improvement Scotland, The Scottish Government and The Macmillan Tayside Palliative and End of Life Care Managed Care Network

It is open to all who have an interest, experience or remit in this area of health and social care. We hope the event will be informative and provide an opportunity to share thoughts and perspectives to inform the work of the project.

The event will include talks and discussions on: What are the Dementias? Nursing Care and Dementia. Palliative and end of life care for those who have a diagnosis of dementia. The national dementia strategy and the 8 pillars model. Care homes and dementia. Dementia, personhood and spirituality. An update on the Healthcare Improvement Scotland national quality improvement projects for palliative and end of life care in Scotland.

Venue: Longforgan Room, Westpark Conference Centre, Dundee
